I go to a traditional Church back at home and needless to say there is a lot of church politics and drama. Today the "factions" in my church got into a "disagreement"over elder nominations at the congregational meeting. It was quite disheartening to see the adults I looked up to act so immaturely. That's one more thing that I'm thankful about at Harvest. There's no church politics...as far as I am aware... Haha.
Our church also participates in the Angel Tree program each year. It's a program that provides presents for children whose parents are in prison. It was quite delightful this year because the amount of blessings almost doubled. In this troubled economic climate, more than two times the regular amount of families applied to receive gifts. I was happy that our church and our members were able to fulfill that call, as I'm sure that they've also been impacted by the economy.
Both of the sermons (one regular and one for Angel Tree) was about confessing sins to God (a hint perhaps?) and accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. The latter sermon also talked about coming to Him as we are, in our sinful state. Perhaps it's just that season? It's always touching to see churches and Christians doing their utmost to spread the Gospel, albeit in different mediums.
After church, I went to John's and watched 7 pounds... It was a confusing movie till the last couple minutes and we'll leave it at that. Then I came home around 12:49 and did the dishes so my mommy doesn't have to do them in the morning. Working on being a blessing. Hahaha
Lol I don't know what to do with her. She called me. I mean, yeah, I know it was out of anger, but now it's all out there and you're right. What happens next? Lol
Trying to sleep before 2 am each day,
Sam
