Packed.

Hey!

Today was a PACKED day. yay!

It started off with a rushed breakfast before ice skating at noon.

Then came home and watched, "She's the Man" (Not my choice, but it wasn't actually that bad).

After that, we just ate dinner and bummed around.

Then we went bowling where I bowled a freaking 196!

Ended the night with "Slumdog Millionaire", which was a goooood movie, def recommend it.
-Latika is realllllly... attractive. hahah

Something a little more than just the superficial.
I realized that a lot of the people around me are like, messed up. Like, more than normal? Haha. But instead of looking down on them, it makes me wanna love them more. Hopefully that can correspond to action, even when they're ESPECIALLY hard to love. hahaha

over and out,

Sam

P.S. 완절 모르겠다...

Another Sunday

So, today is Sunday.

Sermon was about Luke 19: 11-27. The parable about making cash money. kinda. About a ruler who went of to become king and the servants to whom he entrusted 1 mina each. And the servant who made 10 mina off 1, another who made 5 mina off 1, one who just kept his mina, and the rest of the servants who didn't want their boss to be king in the first place.

Don't really remember the point. It was in Korean and I tried hard, but I dozed off some. -__________-;; Thought I got over that...

Came home, played Bball with David and Minshik. Still not in shape. Still slow and uncoordinated. Jeez maybe I should just stick to academics. -0-;;

Then ate yummy food, cuz my mom is the best cook. Now it's almost Monday, so I feel the need to start getting more disciplined as always. So. Goodnight.

Almost missed it again

Almost missed writing in here again.

Today's main points:

-Bball/Fball with bigger younger bro. -0-;;
-Car stalling/not starting at Meijer.
-1 Corinthians 13
-Ordering My Utmost for His Highest, Silence, Instant Indonesian, and What's So Amazing about Grace from Amazon for me from my mommy.
-Reading Manga

Ok helloGOODBYE.

Christmas Eve + Christmas+Mucho Dilemma/Insecurity

So after that huge fight, on Christmas Eve, we left for my Aunt's place in Chicago, who is affectionately referred to as 씨카고 고모 (Chicago Aunt). Hahahahah

Anyway, we saw "Be Kind Rewind" and "Run Fatboy Run" on the way up. BKR really stunk and RFR picked up a little towards the end. Then we got to spend a little time with the cousins at their place. We just saw "Children of Men" and a little bit of "Pumping Iron" and then started talking. Can't believe Esther nuna is finally in a relationship. O_O!

Ate Korean food, finally had some 깜풍기 (some sort of chicken) that I always crave. Then soon after we went back to the Sheraton, which was nice I guess.

On Christmas day, woke up, went to the fitness room, left because I was in shorts + Tim's and too many people were there. Then we went back to my aunt's place and ate 떡국 (rice cake soup?). I guess we ate it for the New Year's that we wouldn't spend together. -0-;; Then Esther, Eunice, and John gave us presents and it started to feel a little like Christmas. hahah. Then we left, Grandma came with us (she's staying for a month or something), and went to Assi where I ran into Janet Yoo! whoa. small world. was mad awkward and after shopping we hopped into the van to go home.

Ate 김밥 and 썰렁탕 (kimbahp and beef soup??) in the car at a rest stop. Kicking it old school Korean fam style. Then won a stuffed animal in the claw machine. It was a frog, which was funny cuz RFR had a scene about a frog:

Jake: Dad, I've got a secret.
Dad: What is it?
Jake: There's a girl in my class named Emily
Dad: That's not a secret, I'm sure the teachers know about her.
Jake: She looks like a tree frog.
Dad: Well, that's not nice.
Jake: I like tree frogs.

hahahahahahha. Jake is like 7 or something. Twas cute.
Now I'm here looking at people talking about underbite surgery, which costs too much if my dad's insurance doesn't cover it. And apparently it requires braces before and after O_O!! Sigh.
I want it! but it might be too big of a hassle. Aish. O well. Time to wallow in my insecurity. ^^
Maybe we'll go to an orthodontist and get a consultation.

Gnites.

Mucho family drama+yesterday

Don't really wanna write that much, but since I'm supposed to write about everyday, let's do this.

Yesterday:

Had a good, long talk with my dad. Topic consisted of multiple things. Like Jakarta, other faith related topics, logic, philosophy, etc. Was a long, semi-heated debate that started from not much. Haha, it was good times.

I think yesterday I also cooked for my dad and my cousin. Just a little mix of whatever leftovers we had, but they liked it, so it's all good.

Then I went bowling and bowled a 152! Beat John for the first time ever in my life!! Then we went to Steak and Shake and got one of their 4 for under $4 meals, which really hit the spot, but made me feel guilty. hahahahhaa

That's about it.

Today:

Ran for two miles in the snow.
Chauffeured my little brother around so that he could work on his video proj for Gov't.
Went to Rite Aid three times because I fail at dying my hair. Blk (original) > Brown > Blue Black+ some Brown (final).

Then came home. Family had a huge fight. Cousin vs. Fam. End result is that after 7 years, Stephanie is (probably) moving out in/by January to live on her own. It's been a stressful 7 years on both sides, but now I think I understand her a little more after talking to her for a while today.
People were pissed, slaps and cusses flew around (rare happening...), and tears were shed. I don't know how it'll end up, but now I just wanna pray for my cousin and my family more.

We exchanged gifts since we're off to Chicago tomorrow. "Exchanged gifts". Kinda. It's been rough financially therefore, a shortage of exchanges. Cept I like plastic too much and already splurged for gifts during Black Friday. Lol.

Sigh, this family drama kinda puts a damper to my Winter Break. Plus my grandma is going to be with us for a while. Which is.... uh...nice...? Sike, it's nice, but it makes it harder for everyone, especially my mom. >.<

Turns out my family isn't perfect either, big whoop. Still love em. Only comfort is trusting in God's sovereignty, no? Hahahahha ok.

This post wasn't very coherent, but then again, I don't think most of them will be from now on... -0-;;

Sunday: Church Drama/Blessing, 7 Pounds, Confusion

I go to a traditional Church back at home and needless to say there is a lot of church politics and drama. Today the "factions" in my church got into a "disagreement"over elder nominations at the congregational meeting. It was quite disheartening to see the adults I looked up to act so immaturely. That's one more thing that I'm thankful about at Harvest. There's no church politics...as far as I am aware... Haha.

Our church also participates in the Angel Tree program each year. It's a program that provides presents for children whose parents are in prison. It was quite delightful this year because the amount of blessings almost doubled. In this troubled economic climate, more than two times the regular amount of families applied to receive gifts. I was happy that our church and our members were able to fulfill that call, as I'm sure that they've also been impacted by the economy.

Both of the sermons (one regular and one for Angel Tree) was about confessing sins to God (a hint perhaps?) and accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. The latter sermon also talked about coming to Him as we are, in our sinful state. Perhaps it's just that season? It's always touching to see churches and Christians doing their utmost to spread the Gospel, albeit in different mediums.

After church, I went to John's and watched 7 pounds... It was a confusing movie till the last couple minutes and we'll leave it at that. Then I came home around 12:49 and did the dishes so my mommy doesn't have to do them in the morning. Working on being a blessing. Hahaha

Lol I don't know what to do with her. She called me. I mean, yeah, I know it was out of anger, but now it's all out there and you're right. What happens next? Lol

Trying to sleep before 2 am each day,

Sam
